Edna Haines Obituary

Haines Edna "Eydie" Haines, went home to be with the Lord peacefully with her family by her side at Willowbrook Christian Home on February 23, 2015. She was born on May 29, 1929 to the late Raymond and Bonnie Hatfield. She was preceded in death by her late devoted and loving husband W. Robert Haines, her sisters Helen Adams, Maxine Simpson, her brother Ray Hatfield and her grandson Cody Gray. She is survived by her ex-husband and friend, Thomas Gray and wife Joyce; sisters, Marge Bird and Ruth Accord. She is also survived by her loving children, Jane Vulgamore (Richard), Sherri Parker (Ron) and Jeff Gray (Margaret). She will be greatly missed by her nine grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Eydie loved her family and would do anything for any one of them. Eydie was a amazing seamstress, loved to decorate and had her own flashy sense of style. She loved gardening and got so much joy from entertaining all the family in her pool. In her later years she always made her caregivers and nurses laugh and they even nicknamed her"ornery". She and Bob would dance for hours upon hours and we know she is dancing in Heaven with him now. We love you and are already missing you. Keep dancing and singing until we see you again in glory. In lieu of services family is having a private memorial to honor Eydie's life. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Willowbrook Christian Home, 55 Lazelle Rd., Columbus, OH 43235 (in memory of Edna "Eydie" Haines). Granny Haines was one of the most inspirational ladies in my life. I loved and will always love her. She gets all the credit for my fashion style, I always looked up to and admired everything about her, especially her beautiful heart.
