Elsa Stokes Obituary

STOKES Elsa Jean Stokes, age 87, passed away December 24, 2006 at Scioto Community Care Center. She was born October 29, 1919 to the late Carl and Edna Brown. She retired from Mid Ohio Graphics after many years service. Preceded in death by her husband James Richard Stokes (1999). She is survived by her sons, James H. (Judy) Stokes of Groveport, Michael R. Stokes of Columbus, and William A. "Tony" (Jody) Stokes of Lancaster; grandchildren, Mark, Mick (Patti), Matt, Mitch (Kristy), Jean Marie, and Joey Stokes; and great- grandchildren, Jeff (Katy), Jason, Lee, Cody. and Michael Stokes; brother-in-law, Robert (Gerry) Stokes; sister-in-law, Jane Cenci; nephew, Robin Stokes. Friends may call at the MYERS-WOODYARD FUNERAL HOME, Groveport, Ohio, Wednesday from 5 p.m. until time of service at 8 p.m. Pastor Ken Marckel officiating. Cremation with interment at Union Grove Cemetery. Family suggest in lieu of flowers contributions be directed to VistaCare, 2760 Airport Dr. Suite 100, Columbus Oh 43219.

Mike, Very sorry for your lose; Bill and I both know how hard it is to accept the death of your last parent. I'm sure you still have many great memories of your Mom. Feel free to talk about your Mother and Father often, it really helps you.

I did not know Mrs. Stokes but from talking with Mike I would have liked her. She was a good person and mother. I know this because I know Mike.
In this time of sorrow I hope you all remembering her when she was well will make this time a little easier to accept.
