Ernie was a genuine nice guy. Always sharing stories of his family and making jokes. He will be missed!

Bishop Ernie Evans was a great man. He was a humble follower of the Savior. Thank you for your constant encouragement to "strive" each day to do good and be good. My prayers are with his family.

A dear friend & childhood neighbor. Your Hephzibah neighbors mourn the closure of this book but celebrate the life you lived. My condolences to your family. You will forever be in our memories.

I was sorry to hear that Ernie had ended his earthly journey. As the family undoubtedly knows, he was a caring person who always seemed to be willing to help others. When I first started working at DAU Ernie spent his own time after hours answering my questions and making certain that I was comfortable in my new position. I had the opportunity to work with him in the classroom. He was the same with his students. Those that were anxious or confused found a champion in Ernie and they respected him for it. As the days and weeks go on may you all take comfort in the fact that he touched so many lives in such a favorable way. May God grant you peace in your time of grief.
