Best substitute ever!! I ran into him and his wife at Bob Evans a year or so ago, and when I said hi to him he gave me a mole dollar! He pulled it right out of his wallet! He was such a happy man who truly knew how to work with children and teenagers. He will be missed.

I am a health care worker and met your dad when he came in for treatment. What a lovely man he was! He was never without a smile or a laugh. He was so easy to be with and he always shared stories about his life. My favorite memory of him was of his spirit of hope even after his wife passed. One day he told me he was looking for a new wife because he wanted more of the fullness of life he had with his deceased wife. This was when he was 92! I hope I have his passion when I am 92!

I remember Mr McNulty when he subbed at Coffman high school. I would see him in the lounge or the hall always a smile and the kids loved him. The news and the paper both did reports on him over the years. His Mole Money was a big hit to the kids. I will remember him fondly.

High School was amazing with Mr. McNulty. His smile and laugh made the school have a warm feeling every time he was there. No matter how negative my mood was, walking into class finding out he was the substitute for the day made me the happiest person alive. Four years wasn't enough! You are truly loved and will be missed.

I remember my kids and their friends talking about "mole money" and how excited they got when this dear man was sustituting at DCHS. The kids and friends are all grown and still remember and love this man. Candles are all over social media spreading the news of his passing and filled with loving stories and tributes. Many are living out of the area and unable to attend but his passing is felt around the world.

I am so sorry to hear of Mr. McNulty's passing. He was truly a legendary substitute teacher -- even if you weren't in his class, seeing him smiling and walking down the hall was enough to make anyone's day. My thoughts are with the McNulty family during this time - I hope it's a small comfort to know how many young lives he touched and how fondly he is still remembered by many of us long graduated!

I'm so sorry to hear about the passing of Mr. McNulty! He was one of those almost mythical educators that you hear about, who was truly passionate about teaching, and touched the lives of countless students across multiple generations. Nothing made our day more in high school than walking into a classroom and finding out that Mr. McNulty was our substitute teacher! His wide bank of knowledge, ornery sense of humor, and the occasional, extremely lucky distribution of his legendary "Mole Dollars" made him beloved by every student he encountered. Rest well, sir. I am happy to have known you. You will live on forever in the memories of your students.

Mr. McNulty touched so many students' lives and left his mark on all of us. He clearly loved teaching, and we always loved days we were lucky enough to have him in our classrooms. I am so sorry to hear of his passing, but consider myself very lucky to count myself as one of the students he helped shape.
Wishing your family comfort and peace

Very sad to hear of Mr. McNulty's passing. He was the best sub ever. We loved having him as much as I know he loved being in our classrooms and watching/helping us learn. As much as we loved our teachers in high school, we lived for the days that we got to have Mr. McNulty. Word would quickly spread that he was there. Even if he wasn't in one of our own classes, we'd always stop by to say hi to him. He was truly one of a kind and will be missed. Someday we hope to come across one of his famous "mole dollars" that we now hope at least one of us saved. Thank you for the fond memories. Thoughts and prayers go out to the family. R.I.P. Mr. McNulty was such a special man. He made an impact on so many classes of students over the years. My social media feed has been full of former classmates expressing their sadness for his passing. He was cared for by so many people. I am hoping this brings some peace to the family. He was a wonderful man, and he will not be forgotten. I can still hear his sweet laugh!

Sending warm thoughts and prayers to Mr. McNulty's family. I had the pleasure of meeting him many times when he substituted for Dublin City Schools. He was so happy, and inspired learning, and really gave all the students something to look forward to when people found out he would be subbing that day. I can't tell you the names of any other substitute teachers I had, but I certainly always remembered Mr. McNulty.

Mr McNulty was a frequent substitute in my school district growing up. Everyone rejoiced knowing he was the substitute, as he was kind to all and always had a smile on his face. My friends and I still reminisce about his Mole Dollars. It is not often that students remember substitute names, but everyone who went to school in Dublin and had him remembers him so fondly!

What a life we'll-lived. RIP
