Francis Stowe Obituary

STOWE Francis "Eber" M. Stowe, age 63, of Columbus, passed away on Tuesday, August 25, 2009. Eber was born on October 25, 1945 to Eber and Evelyn Stowe in Syracuse, Oh. Eber was enlisted in the US Navy from 1965 to 1967. Eber worked in metal fabrication for many years as a sign maker and welder. He was a member of the Sheet Metal Union. Eber had a love for working on and driving race cars. When Eber was not at work he was in his garage working on cars with his son, Jay's help. Through the years he passed that love of cars on to Jay, where in turn, Eber was Jay's help in the garage. Eber also enjoyed sports and his dogs. Eber is preceded in death by parents and sisters Sarah Neigler and Martha Dudding. He is survived by his loving wife, Shirley; son, Jay (fiance, Tami May); grandchildren, Briana, Caden, Tyson and Payton; sister, Linda (Bruce) McKenzie; along with several other family and friends. Family will receive friends on Thursday, August 27, 2009 from 6-8 p.m. at SCHOEDINGER NORTHEAST CHAPEL, 1051 East Johnstown Road, Gahanna, Oh. 43230, where funeral service will take place on Friday, August 28, 2009 at 1 p.m. Interment to follow at Mifflin Township Cemetery.
