Gail Fischer Obituary

Fischer, Gail Ann
Gail Ann Fischer (née McGee), age 66, passed away unexpectedly at home on August 4, 2021. Gail was born August 22, 1954, in Warren, Ohio to James and Audrey McGee, both of whom predeceased her. She is survived by her two children, Elizabeth Leigh Fischer, and Michael McGee Murphy; her sister, Wendy Young (Jay); and her niece, Mallory Tracy (Ben). Gail attended Champion High School where she served as a cheerleader but, more importantly, she established life-long friendships with multiple classmates. She trained and served as a radiologic technician for many years in Columbus, Ohio. After retirement, Gail moved to South Carolina where she enjoyed a variety of activities with several new friends she met in her neighborhood. She was a passionate Ohio State Buckeyes fan, avid jewelry maker, and enjoyed playing pickleball. A celebration of life gathering will be announced soon. Arrangements are being handled by Simplicity Low Country Funeral.

It breaks my heart to hear of Gail´s passing. She grew up across the street from our family and she and my sister were best friends growing up. I always loved when Gail was at our house. Fond memories of Gail growing up and at the lake with her family at Hallwood Beach.

So shocked and sad when I heard about Gail. Elizabeth, your Mom and I met 40 years ago at Doctors Hospital and remained friends ever since. She was a lot of fun! Can't believe I won't be able to call her anymore. My deepest sympathy to you and all Gail's family and friends.
