George Kleiber Obituary

KLEIBER George E. Kleiber, 79, of Marysville died Saturday evening, December 31, at Memorial Hospital. He was a retiree from Eljer Plumbingware of Marysville. He was a 1951 graduate of Marysville High School and a longtime member of the Marysville First United Methodist Church. In his retirement years, he continued working locally in maintenance at several banking institutions finally retiring in 1994. George was an avid sports fan and enjoyed spending time with his grandkids. He was born February 1, 1932 in Marysville to the late Emanuel and Esther Schlegel Kleiber. He married the former Pauline E. Mummey August 9, 1952 in Liberty, IN. She preceded him in death July 11, 2000. George is survived by his children, Michael E. (Cindy) Kleiber of Urbana, Shelley Gonzales of Marysville; grandchildren, Tracy (Matt) Harper, Lisa Kleiber, and Ashley and Aaron Gonzales; great grandchildren, Mason and Logan Harper. Calling hours will be Wednesday from 3-5 and 6-8 p.m. at the INGRAM FUNERAL HOME, 975 N Maple St., Marysville, OH 43040, where funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday with the Rev. Aaron Brown officiating. Burial will follow at Oakdale Cemetery next to his wife. Memorial contributions may be made to the Loving Care Hospice or the Memorial Hospital Mobile Meals Program in care of the funeral home. Condolences may be sent to ingramfuneral.com
