Marilee and family,
It was Glenn who was my most important mentor in this NEA work. He called me in his office one day and said "Claudia, you need to apply for the Executive Director job in Delaware." I did and that was the beginning of a new path for me. He made us laugh, he made us cry,he pushed us to new heights and made us better. The strengthening of public education and the many staff he affected are his legacy.
My deepest sympathy for your loss.

Linda and Family,
We are praying hard for all of you, I know how hard it was for us to deal with the Alzheimer's with my Dad Vic, it attacked his entire body and within a year he was gone. We miss him dearly and the memories of him will be with us forever.
We know they aren't suffering now and have brand new bodies, praise God... We love you bunches,

Glenn was a steadfast champion for the rights of school personnel and the students for all of his life that I was permitted to share ! More than that I could always count on him to be my dear friend. I consider that time spent working together to be one of the largest blessings of my life. I know I join many others who shared that time together is remembering what grand work was done by us all under his leadership. We came, we saw, we made a difference ! My respect for him has never waivered and I am sure that in his new and better place he is already organizing ! Marilee alread has heard my sorrowful sympathies. I will be seeing her and his family tomorrow.
Blessings upon us all !

Dear Marilee and Family,
Rita and I want to extend our most sincere condolences. Glenn and you were always a great help in bringing us along as family friends in those days in Illinois. We remember Glenn as fun loving, with a biting wit that could always make you laugh. It was always our pleasure to call you friend.

I count Glenn as one of my very best friends and mentors. His loss feels to me as if my own family has lost a member. He was a devoted husband, father, and the strongest of advocates for teachers and all that public education could offer.
I send my love and condolences to his family and his many many friends.

Dear Mrs. Darr and family,
I certainly want to extend my condolences about the loss of Mr. Darr, but also to celebrate his healing. I know he was a wonderful man, and was glad to know him just a little. His personality, the love of his family and his way with people shone through until the end, both in contact with him as well as in the way others regarded him and cared for him.
I am proud to know all of you, and hope to learn from your grace during this whole experience.
Yours, Deb
