So very sorry to hear about Hal´s passing. We remember him as a good neighbor from years past. Our deepest sympathies to Nancy and family. He was a good vet to our Lady and was very caring when we put her to rest. Glad we have his son for our Roxie.

When I reflect on my childhood with all the wonderful holiday gatherings and reunions with the family, it always brings a smile. Hal was such a generous person in every sense of the word. Gods speed.

I first met Dr. Taylor when I was 10 years old. He was working with Hal SR. at the West Broad clinic. He and and his father always took care of my parents dogs. He always knew their names and had a smile when he entered the exam room. This was in the mid 1970´s. Then when I was older and dogs of my own I only took them to him. He once got my Doberman Max over Parvo. Max was a stray when he came to us and in bad shape medically. Doc , as I call him , said I will get him healthy, and he will be a good dog for you. I was just out of the military and did not have much money at the time, but Doc said he would take care of Max for the cost of the medication only, and not charge us for the 2 extra days he needed to keep him. Doc told me he had a special place in his heart for people willing to love a stray unconditionally. Doc took care of Max until his passing 13 years later. I will always be grateful to him for that. He was right about Max, he was the best dog a family could ever ask for. I hope he is reunited with all the pets he took care of, because I am sure they would all give him some lovings.
