I enjoyed working with Harold and the rest of your crew on the project at Waterloo Street. Both those projects turned out very well. I still have the hardhat that Harold gave me, and wear it on my other projects. Contractors on those sites always ask me if I worked for Compton. I hope Harold´s family is doing well.

I went to Northridge HS (class of 1973.) I did have a few classes with Harold. I remember his humor, compassion, thoughtfulness, and so much .more I cannot even exptess. My thoughts and prayers to Harold's family. I knew Marion Green well through HS. I'm overwhelmed to hearing of his passing. May God bless all of you and comfort you.

So sorry to hear of Harrold's passing. I met him a few times at your construction site in Canal Winchester. Harold "loaned" me a hard hat for use visiting the site. His demeanor and personality were top notch. A true gentleman.

Harold was a great man who will be missed deeply. You could always count on him for a good laugh or word of advice. He was a loving father, friend. John 16:22 "Therefore you too have grief now; but I will see you again, and your heart will rejoice, and no one will take your joy away from you." Rest in peace

Harold was my. Elder cousin. Always found him to be gentle, kind hearted, a reasonable person, and a good listener.(Also one of my many handsome cousins in Croton)He always called me Jenny. My heart breaks for Vivian losing her first born son. What an incredible loss for his children and grandchildren, and of course his siblings, neices and nephews. What a sweet pawpaw he must have been. What an honorable father. Harold, so. Sad you had to leave us so early. Remembering the day we spent together when i was a young teen and while visiting aunt Binny's farm. We shared a few hours of talking about life and helping each other through the pain and sadness of his first marriage. That day rings in my memory as a stollen moment on a lazy day while my mom , Susan , and her sister Vivian probably challenged each other to a competitive afternoon of scrabble. When my son. Weston , now 27 , was a young teen and needed an understanding man to guide his way... Out of the blue i made a very rare phone call to ask for your help. You stood out among men as being humble, smart, and wise. wise.Harold, you were a kindred spirit I was blessed to call cousin. Goodbye. May you know only peace and joy now that you have left behind the troubles of this world. In tears, Jennifer katona of delaware, Ohio..known to you as "Little Jenny"

Even though I met Harold Sr. and the rest of the Compton family before i ever met Harold Jr. , our paths crossed after I moved from Croton to Columbus in the mid 90’s. We had a good friendship, filled with lots of laughs and great stories. I always felt uplifted & positive after spending time together. He left the world & the people he interacted with him in a better place . Thanks Harold !

Harold Compton was an active board member and supporter of YouthBuild Columbus Community School. Mr. Compton went above and beyond for the school and only a bit over a week ago, was on the building roof, assessing damage, to get the school a fair quote for repair. Mr. Compton will be sadly missed. YouthBuild Columbus wishes peace to all his family and friends.

Harold Compton was an active and appreciated member of the YouthBuild Columbus School Board. He went above and beyond as a board member, who was just up on the roof of the school, assessing damage, a little more than a week ago. Mr. Compton will be sadly missed and difficult to replace. Peace be with his family and friends.

So sorry for your loss. It is unfortunate to have such an unexpected loss. However, you can rest assured he is in good hands and all who knew him have fond memories.
I had a few fun nights with Harold playing cards. He always was full of stories.
You are in my thoughts and prayers.

I am proud to say we became friends/step cousins when we were 13 years old. I spent a lot of time hanging out with him and the family in our younger years. We spent hours jumping on the trampoline, ice-skating on the pond and everything in between! As he grew up he became more like his father who was the best of the best! I will treasure every memory of who he was! Steve and I are so sorry for your loss and our love and prayers are with all of you at this time. Steve and Sheree Anderson Boyden
