Helen G. Martin

Martin Helen G. Martin, age 92 of Dublin Retirement Village, was born in Carey, OH and formerly of Tiffin, OH died after a short illness at the Convalarium at Indian Run April 12, 2013. Graduate of Columbian High School and attended Tiffin University. Employed at her husband's Lumber Company, office manager for 2 automobile dealerships and retired from the Tiffin Ohio Unemployment Office. Member of Tiffin First Presbyterian Church and belonged to several bridge clubs. Helen moved to Westerville with her sister Betty in 1987. Helen loved solving crossword puzzles and cryptograms. She also loved to travel and very proudly visited all 50 states as well as Paris, Rome, Athens and Tunis; in addition, she enjoyed crusing to Quebec, Alaska, the Caribbean and the Mediterranean with family and friends. She is survived by her daughter, Sherry of Dublin, OH with whom she made her home; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband John R. Martin, daughter Jessica Randy Martin, brother Kenneth Gibson and sister Betty Boyd. Helen is fondly remembered by many for her elegance, dignity, charm, candor, hospitality, wit, kindness, sense of humor and for being an authenic person. A Celebration of Life service will be held in Dublin, Ohio with a private interment at Tiffin's Greenlawn Cemetery. In lieu of fowers, friends may contribute to HomeReach Hospice, 180 E.
