Carylan Richerson Obituary

Carylan Ann Richerson, 76, went to be with her Savior on Monday, March 12, 2012, after a lengthy illness, in Fort Worth. Celebration of life: 12:30 p.m. Thursday in Laurel Land Memorial Chapel. Interment: Laurel Land Memorial Park of Fort Worth. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Laurel Land Funeral Home. Carylan was born in Plainview on Oct. 29, 1935, to Roberta Lee and Elwood Issac Shelton. She moved to Lubbock when she was 3 years old. She attended school and graduated from Lubbock High School in 1955. Carylan married her soul mate, Bruce Richerson, on Feb. 10, 1956. She was a member of Eastern Star and served as a worthy matron of South Fort Worth Chapter #835. Survivors: Loving husband of 56 years, Bruce Richerson; brother, Fred Shelton; children, David Richerson, Donna Rayburn, and Dana Richerson and wife, Amanda; grandchildren, Zachery, Devin and Landen Richerson, and Jennifer Richerson Gann; and other adoring grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
