Henry Meyer Obituary

Meyer Henry B. Meyer, Jr., age 79, went to be with the LORD on Tuesday, April 26, 2016 at Heartland of Dublin. Henry was born in Columbus on August 23, 1936 to the late Henry and Marie (Hessler) Meyer. Veteran US Air Force. Henry worked as a sales executive for Columbus Coated Fabrics and was the past owner and auctioneer of Columbus Auction. He coached youth football and basketball in Dublin and Grandview. Henry was an avid fisherman. He attended Dublin Baptist Church and was very spiritual and loved the LORD. Henry was active in the Willson YMCA Men's Camp in Bellefontaine. Preceded in death by his wife Carolyn (Pehrson), parents Henry and Marie and brother Stan Meyer. Survived by his children, Cynthia (Kevin) Coughlin, Julie (Mike) Heine, Henry, Douglas and Carl Meyer; ten grandchildren and two great grandchildren; sister, Barbara Ferret; and brother, Steve Meyer; other relatives and friends. Private family interment at Green Lawn Cemetery. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to SCHOEDINGER HILLTOP CHAPEL. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Willson YMCA Camp, 2732 Co. Rd. 11, Bellefontaine, OH 43311. Visit www.schoedinger.com to share a favorite memory of Henry.

Oh, I have so many memories of Hank sitting on the hill at Camp Willson, watching the lake and enjoying his many memories of his childhood at camp. I did enjoy these conversations so much. We talked often of his faith and his trust in God to sustain him. Well done my good and faithful servant...

I'm so sorry to hear of the passing of Mr Meyer I have fond memories growing up playing football and running around the neighborhood and him coaching us. He was a great man.
