I missed my beloved Hugh.
He was a kind, very intelligent human being, of the highest moral character.
Hugh always loved a debate, but one would never be bored in his presence.
I am sorry my posting is so late my dear friend (I just recently retired from an all-consuming job), but I still deeply miss you Hugh.
One of a kind :)

I can't believe it's been four years. How our country has changed! What would Hugh think about the dark days we've been through, and what kind of optimism could he shed on the future? I wish I could drop in for a visit, talk politics and cats, and go to some crazy auction, where we'd compete to see who could get the best stuff for the least money. I miss ya Hugh! God bless you.

Hugh taught me to run his offset presses and other printing equipment, which enabled me to later get an excellent job as a press operator. We printed reprints of old Army manuals for sale at gun shows. I also enjoyed our time together helping him move into his new shop back in 84, I think it was. We worked like dogs! I also remember when New Coke came out, we went from store to store to buy as much Old Coke as possible. He loved Coke and despised the change the company made. Later, in 1997,8, and 9, we became even better friends, I'd like to think I was his best friend during that time, he was certainly my best friend.

I was good friends with Hugh for many years, unfortunately I moved far away about 17 years ago. He was a kind man, who loved his cats as though they were his children.
He was extremely intelligent, very talented in many fields, always ready to lend a hand and to offer sound advice. I spent many years at his knee, listening to him talk about America and the Constitution.
He was truly a great man, and I am a better man for having known him.
I will miss him all the more with his passing.
