Jack Curle Obituary

Curle Jack and Betty Jane Curle, of St. Augustine, passed away peacefully six days apart, both at Emeritus of St. Augustine with their family by their side. Jack and Betty met in Cleveland, Ohio after Jack returned from serving in W.W.II. For many years, Jack worked as a Buyer for a grocery distributor and Betty worked for Sears Distribution. They raised their family together in West Jefferson, Ohio. In January of 1992, they moved to St. Augustine to live closer to Jack's twin sister and her husband, Jane and Roy Weed. They loved living in St. Augustine and were active members of Anastasia Baptist Church. They are survived by a daughter, Leah Butler and her husband Tommy of Cape Hatteras, N.C.; and a son, Scott E. Curle of Columbus, Ohio. A private memorial service will be held and interment will follow at Craig Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations in Jack and Betty's memory can be made to: Vitas Hospice at www.vitascommunityconnection.com or to: Emeritus of St. Augustine, 150 Mariner Health Way, St. Augustine, FL. 32086. ST. JOHNS FAMILY FUNERAL HOME is in charge of arrangements.

Jack and Betty were great people. We really enjoyed their friendship and the many times we were together. Loved Jack's humor and he really loved to eat. We are sorry we didn't go see them more often. They are happy now with their Lord and Savior. We will miss them. To God be the Glory!

Jack and Betty raised their children to be much like themselves, good and kind people who understand the impotance of paying it forward and helping others. Betty always had such a sparkle in her eyes and a quick wit. Jack enjoyed a good laugh and enjoyed good natured teasing. It is right that they are together again. They wil be missed.

Leah and Scott,
So sorry to hear of your loss. Our thoughts and prayers are with you during this time of deep sorrow. May it help knowing that you are surrounded by the love and support of your family and many friends.
Aunt Betty and Uncle Jack will be greatly missed. I have many fond memories of the visits to their house in Columbus, the numerous family picnics at the metro parks, and the family reunions in Saint Augustine. I will cherish the memories forever. With much love, Joe, Debbie, Joey, Doug, David, and Alyson (Deak)
