I was a student at Ohio Dominican in the early 1980`s. I never had Dr. Kennedy as a professor, but I sure do remember his witticisms, and especially his kindness to all students he met on campus. Know that I am praying for your family at this time, and I know he is with the Lord and having a wonderful time in Heaven!

Dear Betty, Bobby, Betsy and your families,

My deepest sympathy to you and the family. I'm sure dad, John A. DeVito, had a smile and a hand reached out for Jim when he left his earthly home. Jim was such a wonderful person and will be sadly missed. Please know that I would be at the funeral...just as you and Jim were at mom & dad's funerals...but I now live in Florida. Jeff, my brother, and his family are here visiting with me for Spring Break and are also not able to attend the funeral. Know that all of you are held dearly in our hearts at this diffucult time. We ceratinly know that Jim is looking down on you and is in a more peaceful and glorious place.

With deepest sympathy,

Julie DeVito

Dear Betty,

I believe that my father, Randy, mother, Janet and I knew you and Jim at the Wellness Center in Columbus on Kenny Road. We all attended Kelly Urse's Body Recall class. Jim and I used to walk around the gymnasium.

All of us extend our sincere sympathy to you and to your family. May God watch over everyone now and in the future.

Sincerely yours,

Edward R. Snively

My condolences to the family and friends of Mr. Kennedy. He was truly the best teacher during my college years at Ohio Dominican. I feel blessed to have known him.

I am sorry for your loss. Jim was the type a teacher and person that touched many lives and inspired and encouraged many students and people to do better than they than they thought they could. I am grateful and glad to have known him, from when he dissected a cat for us eigth-graders at St. Francis --to him visiting my brother Paul, when he had leukemia in the early '90s. May God bless Jim, and may God bless you, his Family and friends.
