Dear Stout family,
Though I did not know James personally, he was spoken of fondly by his brother and my friend, Pete. Please accept my most sincere sympathy and condolences to the friends and family. I will keep you in my thoughts.

James was a gentle loving soul who has been taken from this life all to soon. His father David reached out his hand to his son and took him to heaven where they will forever be at peace. O Lord Jesus, some one whom we loved very much had died and there is an empty place we cannot fill. Help us Jesus, to look straight at that empty place and not be frightened. Help us be glad for him, because he is happy with You. Oh God, help us to be unafraid to walk the earth without him, but to take strength and comfort from Your love.
I remember a 3 year old saying hello to me for the first time in 1977. He would visit David and I for the summer at Fort Knox. He would proudly wear his (pint sized) Army uniform in front of our home and salute all the soldiers as they were driving by on their way home. He often asked his dad, "why aren't the other children wearing their uniforms"?
He would play outside with the other children, then come in with dandelions and "BEE" flowers for me. Then you came to live us as a family in 1987. We were just back from 6 years in Germany and you were met buy your sister Diedre', brothers Peter and Eric. You learned to bake with them and share a home with them. James you were and always will be a joy to us, we will keep you in our hearts always. My Love, Anna Stout

Dear Mary and Joe,
I will always remember Jamie with fondness. I always had respect for his creativity and intelligence. I'm glad that I was able to speak with him by phone recently. He was my friend.
