Jim,
I am deeply saddened to read of Jan's passing. I didn't know her that well, but her sweet nature and kindness always came through with any interaction I had with her through Master Gardeners.
I will name the beauty berry that you gave me in her honor.
My prayers and condolences for you and your family.

I have known Jan since childhood. We were classmates and attended the same church as we grew up in a small town. Jan was a very positive person and a friend to all who knew her. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Jim and their children and grandchildren. Hold your wonderful memories close to your heart and take comfort knowing that you will meet again one day!

Our sympathies go out to Jim and the family. We met Jan and Jim when the Licking county Water Garden Club began. We have many great memories of Jan and all of them include her smiling face and warm demeanor. I'm sure the family has many special memories of Jan to keep them smiling, too.

I have known Jan for fewer than 10 years; however, she became a good friend. We had two common interests, both being piano teachers and also enjoying quilting. But in addition to that, she was a good friend, always kind and encouraging. I will miss her.

I have just lost a beautiful friend. Jan and I grew up together. We spent many happy hours over those years, having slumber parties, going to church and other things that friends do. Jan is also family, when she married Jim, we both became Rengert. Jan will be missed.
