John L. Blake Sr.

BLAKE John L. Blake, Sr., 90, of Gahanna, passed away Monday, February 8, 2010 at Traditions at Stygler Rd. John was a retired electrician from Lennox after 21 years of service. He was preceded in death by his wife Geneva, parents Jasper and Etta (Owens) Blake, brothers George, Wendell and Jesse Blake, sister Ella Webb, grandson John L. Blake, III and granddaughter Norma Blake and niece Joanne Belknap. His survivors include his son, John L. (Marie) Blake, Jr.; daughters, Nancy Holskey, Jo (Jack) Morris, Patricia (Harold) Whipps; 16 grandchildren; several great- grandchildren; other relatives and friends. John was a member of Indianola Church of Christ and Linden Lodge #637 F&AM, and the 32nd Degree Masons, Valley of Columbus A.A.S.R. He was also a Past High Priest of the Royal Arch Masons; a Past Patron of Triangle Chapter #592 (formerly Linden Heights Chapter) O.E.S. and Past Royal Patron of Columbus Court (formerly Pallas Court), Order of the Amaranth. Family and friends may call from 3-5 p.m. Friday, February 12 at RUTHERFORD-CORBIN FUNERAL HOME, 515 High St., Worthington, OH 43085, where a funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, February 13, 2010 with Pastor Tim Rohrbacker officiating.
