I knew John for a short while but I was inspired by his zeal for life and service to the community. He was a wonderful thoughtful man and generous with his life experiences to help others. I will miss our conversations and doing things with him. He loved his family very much and was grateful for his recent trip to Ireland which he visited with his extended family as well. I will pray for healing for the family and comfort in their months ahead. I will miss my dear friend John and his beautiful smiling face. God bless him in his eternal life of peace.

Dear Erin and the Conner family,
I was unable to extend my sympathy in person d/t recent surgery but want you to know how sorry I mm for this great loss. while I knew him more casually than some thru the Irish community I remember some talks and always his warmth and smile and inclusiveness. .
I remember at the beginnings of his recovery journey he volunteered (as did many politicians, judges etc) to help with the cooking at the Shamrock Club Irish Music Festival- back when we actually cooked the brats and burgers. I watched with some prayers and a little worry for his new recovery but he handled it with grace, his bottled water and never burnt a brat !! and he continued as an example of hope and resilience for us all.
I smile when I remember his motto as Shamrock Club President "' there can never be too much Irishness" and he worked very hard to promote Irish culture and heritage.
May your memories of him and your times together bring you comfort and with time joy . Please know you are in my thoughts and prayers in this time of great loss and sadness

Erin, I Am So Very Sorry For The Loss Of Your Dear Sweet Dad. John Connor Was One Of The Kindest People I Knew In A.A. He Did So Much To Help So Many People, Including My Son And I. I Am Going To Miss Calling John, "Your Honor Connor" I Will Also Miss John's Absolutely Wonderful Sense Of Humor. I Have Always Looked Forward To Seeing Whatever John Would Post To FB...But I Want To Say That Along With John's Great Sense Of Humor, He Was Deeply Devoted To A.A., And All That Sobriety Gave To Him. John Was Very Serious About Sobriety, And Helped So Many People In The Fellowship Of A.A. John Was Also A Man Who Was Deeply Devoted To His Family, His Community And His Faith. He Gave Of His Time To Charity Newsies, And To Many Other Places In The Community As Well. I Will Truly Miss My Friend, "Your Honor Connor"

I did not know you but have become friends with your beautiful daughter. I enjoy seeing her posts of her beloved daddy- oh how she loves you. You definitely gave her your gift of spreading joy and love- even if only through yours and her smile with no words at all.
Love to you and your family Erin. Many prayers.
