Being in the HHS band (marching and concert)was the best thing about high school for me, thanks to Mr. Crumley. He was a wonderful director and very patient with us. (I know our drum section sorely tried his patience from time to time!) He was awesome and will be truly missed by everyone connected to the Hilliard community. Please accept my deepest sympathy.

Mr. Crumley introduced me to Drum and Bugle Corps with is his Madison Scouts style drill we marched in 1977/1978. I had some much fun marching[winning contests], that those years became some of the strongest/happiest memories of my life. While I never got to march past Hillard High School, Mr. Crumley's influence directly led my love of drumcorps. This lead to both my sons marching DCI,one being a Madison Scout soloist. It also lead to me feeding the Madison Scouts/staff at Winter camps and sometimes on tour. If I never had the blessing of crossing paths with Mr. Crumley and his family, many lives of others would be very different today and the Madison Scouts would not have hot meals during their winter camps.

I have many happy memories of playing in the band at Newcomerstown High School with Mr. Crumley as director. Bev was a friend as were all of the Norman family. Time goes by quickly. Duke and I will be praying for the family during this difficult time. I'm sorry we won't be there to celebrate with you.

Dear Beve and family. So sorry to hear of John's passing. He lived such a wonderful full life. Giving to so many. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family as you go through this sad time. Just remember Heaven is a little brighter today. The angels are singing.

My condolences go out to Beve & all of John's family & friends. John was a teacher at Hilliard High School in Ohio when I attended there many long years ago. R.I.P. John, you are well known by many thousands of friends!
