STOECKLIN Jon Michael Stoecklin, age 42, of Charleston, West Virginia, went to be with his Lord and Savior-Jesus on Sunday, May 8, 2011 at the Pickering House, Lancaster, Ohio after a 4 year battle with Synovial Sarcoma. Born October 19, 1968 in San Diego, CA. He was a 1987 graduate of Bloom Carroll High School, earned his B.S. in Communication from Ohio University in 1993 and a Masters degree in Human Resources from the University of Charleston in 2003. He was a Modular Space Corporation Training Manager, and long-time employee of General Electric. Member of the National Eagle Scouts Association., he was an Elder at First Presbyterian Church in Charleston, WVA, and attended Maranatha Christian Fellowship in St. Albans, WVA. Survived by loving wife, Melinda Jo (Heflin); parents, Stephen W. "Steve" and Phyllis G. (Craft) Stoecklin, Canal Winchester, OH; father and mother-in-law, Charles "Tom" and Bonnie (Combow) Heflin, Reynoldsburg, OH; brothers-in-law, Tom Heflin and Brent Heflin; sister-in-law, Shannon Bastian; special aunt, Hilda Jeanne Reed; niece, Emma; nephew Allen; other special family members and many dear friends. Friends may visit Friday from 1-3 and 6-8 p.m. at the DWAYNE R. SPENCE FUNERAL HOME, 650 W. Waterloo St., Canal Winchester, Ohio 43110, where funeral service will be 1 p.m. Saturday. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. on Saturday. Pastors Dr. William G. McCoy and Dr. James W. Roberts officiating. Interment to follow at Lithopolis Cemetery.
