Vance, Jon Dustin
Jon Dustin Vance, sunrise April 7, 1981 and sunset August 20, 2021 at age 40. Born in Columbus, Ohio, Jon graduated from Franklin Heights High School in 1999. He earned a degree in Computer Graphics from ITT. He was an accomplished swimmer and enjoyed martial arts. Jon Dustin loved reading about many different subjects and was an enthusiast for current events. He had a fascination with eastern philosophies (like Buddhism and Taoism), loved history (extensive collection of movies and historical documentaries particularly WWII, Civil War and American). An avid Pittsburgh Steelers and Ohio State fan for many years, he enjoyed watching the game of football. He was an intelligent, thoughtful, loving, caring person with a unique sense of humor. He was a beacon of happiness in many peoples lives and a lover of animals. His cat Hannah and rabbit Leo will surely miss him, too. His memory will be cherished by his mother, Kim Vance (and husband, Terry French); his father, Jonathan Vance (and wife, Nancy); his brother, Thomas Vance (and wife, Michelle); life partner, Rhoda Cronebach (whom was his best friend he loved and protected); her daughter, Rachel Cronebach; stepbrother, Drew French; stepsister, Vanessa Greer; and stepsister, Betsy Cadwallader. His grandmothers, Doris Hemenway and Dorothy Hoover will also miss his loving spirit. Jon Dustin will be missed by many more family members and friends. Jon Dustin Vance will continue to live in our hearts forever.
