Dorothy, I met Joe back in 1960 when he was in the Navy and stationed on the USS Princeton. The ship was anchored at the Long Beach Navy Base. We hung out together for a couple of months while I was still in high school and he was such a gentleman. I never forgot his dark wavy hair and his beautiful blue eyes. He had a Navy buddy whose nickname was "Chit" (full last name was Chittenden). They were both a lot of fun and I remember that Joe was from Whitehall Ohio. You were a very lucky lady to have had the pleasure of being married to him for fifty years. I recently lost my husband so I understand your loss. My blessings to you and your family.
