David,
i'm so sorry for your loss. I only met your father once or twice at Wendy's. He was quite a character! And certainly played an important role in the success of Wendy's - as did you, his son.

So many fun and fond memories of Joe. He took pens, pencils, paper clips from my desk or whatever he needed at the time. He always said, "you don't mind." He was a great humanitarian whose shoes will never be filled. His nature was to create excitement. May God bless his soul. Rest In Peace, Joe. You will be missed. It is with a heavy heart to read about the passing of Joe. My condolences and love to the family. Thanks, Joe, for your service to this country. Joe and I were in court together for a couple of weeks. He told me he needed $10,000 so I could invest and become rich. I said I am buying a house, have 8 kids at home, and living on a police officers salary. I said "Invest in what?" He said hamburgers. I said no way, invest in hamburgers is nuts!!! That was funny then, but maybe not so much now. RIP my friend.
