The world has lost a great guy - even the nice, long obituary did not completely show his big, kind heart! We will be on our way to a Chicago funeral tomorrow but we send love and prayers to the whole family!

David,
i'm so sorry for your loss. I only met your father once or twice at Wendy's. He was quite a character! And certainly played an important role in the success of Wendy's - as did you, his son.

Aunt Louise and Family,
Words cannot express our true sorrow, how we are deeply saddened over the passing of Uncle Joe. He was such a magnificent man that one would expect him to always be here and live forever. His kindness, generosity and love are beyond measure and was admired by all who knew him. He will live on through all of you, his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren- his greatest achievements, his true pride and joy.
We shall cherish every memory of him.
Sending you all our love, support, thoughts and prayers.

So many fun and fond memories of Joe. He took pens, pencils, paper clips from my desk or whatever he needed at the time. He always said, "you don't mind." He was a great humanitarian whose shoes will never be filled. His nature was to create excitement. May God bless his soul. Rest In Peace, Joe. You will be missed. It is with a heavy heart to read about the passing of Joe. My condolences and love to the family. Thanks, Joe, for your service to this country. Joe and I were in court together for a couple of weeks. He told me he needed $10,000 so I could invest and become rich. I said I am buying a house, have 8 kids at home, and living on a police officers salary. I said "Invest in what?" He said hamburgers. I said no way, invest in hamburgers is nuts!!! That was funny then, but maybe not so much now. RIP my friend.
