Keith and your family.

I just learned of your terrible loss and wanted to let you know that you are in my heart and thoughts, more today, but you have been my friend and classmate for over 30 years and you will always be in my thoughts. If there is anything I can do, you know you have only to ask.
Now that I'm back in uniform, I confront loss and death almost daily, but can think of no easy comfort to offer to you, other than to say with you as his father, he was a lucky young man, and will be missed by many. Your family's loss is great, the nation's loss is just as great for the loss of his leadership and his skills.

Be strong, grip hands.

Dear Keith and Family,
Having a son or daughter pass away is one of the most tragic experiences a person can go through. I extend to you all the sympathy in my heart, and hope you can find a ray of light in this time of darkness. If nothing else, those who know of your loss are undoubtedly, as Glenn said, holding their children closer and making sure they know that they are loved, as Joshua was.

Dear Judy & Keith:
We've known Joshua since he was a few months old (Ft. Knox) and our paths have crossed several times in our Army lives for 25 yrs. Joshua grew up to be a wonderful man. Lacy and Jaxon remember him taking them around Ft. Leavenworth when we moved back there. That's the kind of teen he was: thoughtful to the new kids on post. You're in our prayers. May God give you strength and comfort.

I have had the pleasure of knowing Josh since the day he was born. As his Aunt Jenny, I have watched this baby grow to an ornery youth and then to a fine young man. I have seen the "Vore" sparkle in his deep blue eyes, and heard the unmistakable "Vore" laugh when a joke was cleverly delivered. The smirk he gave when trying not to laugh, but having no such luck is imbedded in my memory. That will sustain and hold me in the coming days. The way he gave piggy back rides to his cousins and played "horsey" when they were very little brings a smile to my face and joy to my heart. The love he conveyed without ever saying a word, this will be the legacy he leaves for Uncle Rick, Aunt Jenny and the girls. It was once said, "Those closest to your heart will find their way home". You are home now Joshua...... You are home.

To the Vore Family,
We got to know Josh while he spent this past Easter with us down in Proctorville, Ohio. Our son, Michael, who is a Cadet at Capital University, was a very close friend of Josh. We have so many great memories of Josh from the days he spent with us. He had a great personality, and was so much fun to be around. We thoroughly enjoyed his company. Andrew, Michael's younger brother, became quite attatched to Josh and looked up to him as an older brother. Josh certainly touched our lives and we are holding onto the wonderful memories we all had with him. Our thoughts and prayers are with you in your time of grief. May your memories bring you comfort.

Josh was an amazing person and friend. Nothing is more shocking than to lose someone who means so much to a campus community. Josh was always willing to help others when needed, to support those who asked, and to be a friend to those he didn't even know. Whether inside or out of the classroom, Josh was always wonderfully charming and his sense of humor was greatly appreciated. I know that I am not the only one who will miss him, and his family should know that they raised a great son, brother and friend. Here's to you Josh--one last time.
