Kathy Jenkins Groseclose

GROSECLOSE Kathy Jenkins Groseclose, age 64, of Orange City, Florida, passed away Thursday, July 7, 2011 at Florida Hospital Fish Memorial from complications from surgery. Mrs. Groseclose is survived by her husband, Claude Dennis Groseclose; her sons and their wives, Dennis and Stacey and Chad and Jill; four grandchildren, Kayla, Cole, Grant and Lane. She was born Kathy Jenkins on March 8, 1947 in Akron, Ohio. She has been married to her husband "Denny" since age 18. They also lived in Sunbury, OH, Shreveport, LA and Humble, TX. Kathy was a caring and loving wife and mother who raised two successful young men devoted to their families. She was a personal counselor at the Cassadaga Spiritualist Camp in Cassadaga, FL. Prior to receiving her certification, she worked for years in the Cassadaga bookstore. Before her career in Cassadaga, Kathy was an office manager in Longwood, FL. She is remembered as a sensitive, insightful and gentle spirit who was always willing to help anyone who asked. Whether through giving her time, money, counsel or love; Kathy touched the lives of hundreds of people when they were in moments of great need. Along with her husband, Kathy took active roles in Seminole County, FL youth sports. She touched the lives of many kids growing up in Central Florida through her tireless dedication to their on-field athletic performance as well as their off-field success in life. A Celebration of Life Service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, July 16, 2011 with visitation one hour prior to service at the MORELAND FUNERAL HOME, 55 East Schrock Road, Westerville, OH.
