My deepest sympathy to Ken's family. I knew him and his parents when he was just a kid. He grew up to make Hilliard, OH very proud of him and his accomplishments. I was there when he graduated from High School.

I just learned of Col Ken Jewett's passing from a co-worker here at DTRA. When he was assigned to OSIA/DTRA he was my supervisor and always supported my reserve duties with the Marine Corps. Most notably to me was the fact that I had him serve as my presiding official during my promotion from Major to Lieutenant Colonel July 1999. I have fond memories from those days when he came into the office suite and I stood up to look over the systems furniture partitions to see where he was, which he made mention of during my promotion ceremony. He recalled that when he saw me over the systems furniture I reminded him of the TV Character Wilson from the sitcom Home Improvement.

It was a pleasure to have known/work for him and Honor to have served with him in defense of our nation.

To his family I express my sincere condolences, and to him I bid a sad farewell. Semper fi Col Jewett, you are now with your ancestors, and mine, which were most recently joined by my mom when she passed on May 20, 2012. God has you in his arms, and I have you in my mind and heart. Till we meet again.

My deepest condolences for the loss of your brother, uncle, friend. I mourn the loss of a great friend and a great visionary. I served under Col Ken Jewett and learned the meaning of leadership and strategic vision. Because of him, we at the Attache School have the benefit of a professional, world-class training program. His brilliance in this world will be missed, and I know he is illuminating the next.

Greg and Kirk, having known Ken for almost all of my life (I'm Marc's sister, Betsy) I know that Ken was one of the most "true" down to earth people I have ever met. I am thankful that I have been able to go through my life referring to Ken my friend and brother. Mom and Dad also felt that he was another member of our family. I am so very sorry for your loss and our prayers are with you all. God Bless you all!

To the family of Ken,
You have lost an outstanding brother and uncle, long before his time. I was honored to have known Ken for the last 30 some years and this world is a better place for his having been in it. I pray that he has already met my husband Barry in Heaven and that they are continuing their discussion on the Civil War. May God bless you with peace and strength in your grief. Sincerely,
Carol Stebelton Black and daughters
