Lillian Bernice Dannemiller

1922 - 2016

Dannemiller Lillian Bernice Dannemiller, 94, of Carroll, took her last breath on this earth and her first breath in heaven on Monday, October 17, 2016. She was born April 15, 1922, in Kenmore, Ohio and was the daughter of the late Elmo and Rhea Wood. Lillian was a chemistry major at the Ohio State University where during her college days married Howard Dannemiller, also an OSU student. Lillian quickly became a loving wife and mother to seven children, grandmother to 19 (with spouses 31), and great grandmother to 15. Lillian devoted her life to her family and to God. An avid seamstress and homemaker, Lillian was also well known as a prayer warrior daily spending hours seeking God's direction, especially in later years when blindness and disease laid her bedridden. She was a faithful member of The Redeemer's Church in Columbus and later Grace Bible Church in Canal Winchester for many years. Lillian was preceded in death by her husband of 72 years Howard. She is survived by two daughters, Nancy Bewick, Mary (Daniel) Duncan; five sons, Jim (Dianne) Dannemiller, Gary (Joyce) Dannemiller, Timothy (Betty) Dannemiller, Charles (Tammy) Dannemiller, Edward (Karen) Dannemiller. Preceded in death by her brother Earl Wood and sister Barbara Patrick. Family and friends may visit 6-8 p.m. on Friday at the DWAYNE R. SPENCE FUNERAL HOME, 650 W. Waterloo St., Canal Winchester, Oh 43110, where a funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, with an hour prior visitation. Interment to follow at Betzer Cemetery, with Andy Amos officiating the graveside. A funeral lunch for family will follow the burial at Grace Bible Church.
