1942 - 2019
Margaret Ann (Lambert) Barker, age 77, passed away Saturday, September 14, 2019 at home. Member of One Hope Community Church. Retired from AT&T after 20 years of service. Preceded in death by her parents Samuel and Minnie (Ward) Lambert and sister Betty Jean Little. Survived by son, James (Jennifer) Sylvester; granddaughters, Amy (Cauli) Sarmento and Anna Sylvester; sister, Reva Gail (Argil) Maynard; James (Judy) Lambert; and long-time family friend, Justin Wood. Friends may call Thursday, September 19, 2019 from 4-7 p.m. at RUTHERFORD-CORBIN FUNERAL HOME, 515 High St., Worthington, where service will be held 1 p.m. Friday, September 20, 2019. Interment Kingwood Cemetery. Contributions, if desired, may be made the American Heart Assoc., 7272 Greenville Ave., Dallas, TX 75231. Margaret will be sorely missed. She always had a friendly smile on her face even though she was constantly in pain.
Marsha and I will always remember her love for us and her love for her Lord, Jesus Christ.
(We'll also not soon forget how we tried to encourage her to drink milk shakes and then, after a time, she would comment that she had gained a pound or two of weight on her frail body).
She loved going to Der Dutchman with all of the people from Prime Time Bible Study at One Hope Community.
Our prayers are with her family and her many friends as we mourn our loss but celebrate that she no longer suffers and is present with her Lord and Savior.
