Margaret Dolores (Atkinson) "Maggie" Fritz, age 91, passed away July 23, 2018. She was born in Columbus on December 23, 1926. She was a 1945 graduate of Columbus West High School. She was preceded in death by her parents Joseph and Velma (Hammill) Atkinson, her husband Robert E. Fritz, her son Joseph and her brothers Thomas and Donald Maushund. She is survived by her daughter, Susan (David) Powell of Pepperell, MA; her sons, Michael (Pamela) Fritz of Tempe, AZ, Thomas (Teresa) Fritz of Malvern, AR and Robert (Jamie) Fritz of Penn Hills, PA; her granddaughters, Sarah Powell of Austin, TX and Abby (Travis) Turpin of Waterloo, IA; her grandson, Alex (Colleen) Powell of Brighton, MA; her great-granddaughter, Reece Turpin of Waterloo, IA; her great-grandsons, Lincoln and Roscoe Powell of Brighton, MA; her sister, Ermadine Duncan of Georgetown, KY; and her best friend and caregiver, Mary Mulvany. Maggie's family wishes to thank the staff at StoryPoint Grove City, especially Jody Shockley, Shaun Smock, Lisa Logsdon, and Kyle Roehrenbeck. Maggie requested that her friends donate to the Holy Family Soup Kitchen, 57 S. Grubb St., Columbus, OH 43215, in lieu of flowers. Family will receive friends Thursday, July 26, 2018 from 6-8 p.m. at SCHOEDINGER GROVE CITY CHAPEL, 3920 Broadway, where a funeral service will be held Friday at 10 a.m. Interment will follow in Green Lawn Cemetery. We are heading to my hometown in Ohio to lay my grandma to rest. Travis and I got to spend special times with her the past few years that we will always cherish, and Im most glad she got to meet her great-granddaughter. Ill miss your phone calls, your sense of humor, your packages for Reece, and your singing. I love you, grandma.
