Marianne McGuire Obituary

McGUIRE Marianne McGuire, age 50, of Columbus, at Riverside Methodist Hospital. She is preceded in death by father Don McGuire, brothers Dan and David. She is survived by mother, Mary Lou McGuire; brothers, John, Steve (Rita) and Kevin; sisters, Jo (Terry) Toops, Sue Andreas, and Carrie Richardson; several nieces, nephews, and dear friends. Graduate of Ohio University and received her Masters from The Ohio State University. She was a Special Education teacher. She was a loving sister and friend. She was a special aunt, and did not miss an event in her nephews lives. Contributions may be made in her memory to Delaware City Schools, memo line: Special Education, 248 N. Washington, Delaware, OH 43015 or Riverside Neuroscience Center, 3724 Olentangy River Road, Suite 6, Columbus, Ohio 43214. Her family is honoring her request of having no viewing or funeral service. She chose to share the gift of life by becoming a tissue donor. Her arrangements are being cared for by the COTNER FUNERAL HOME, Reynoldsburg, Ohio.

Marianne was my cousin. I spent many summers staying with her family. She was the cool older teen, listening to cool music and worrying about dates and had a bedroom with a couch. She went on and completed her education and became successful. My deepest sympathy to my aunt and my cousins. Love you all.
