Mark Steiman Obituary

STEIMAN Mark Richard Steiman, 28: Beloved son, brother, nephew, cousin and friend was born in Columbus, Ohio, on June 1, 1980. Raised in Bexley, Ohio, Mark graduated from Bexley High School in 1998. Following high school, Mark attended and graduated from Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri in 2002 with a double major in Business Marketing and Spanish. While in college, he spent a year studying in Madrid, Spain and a semester in London, England. Following graduation, Mark was employed as an Account Executive with Hill & Knowlton in California. He then went on to work at Meguiar's, Inc. as a Portfolio Marketing Manager. He was accepted into The Yale School of Management and was planning on attending this fall after an extended trip through Europe. Mark enjoyed photography, playing pool, reading, listening to jazz, learning, traveling and most of all "being surprised by the world around me." He loved life and enriched the lives of all who knew him. Gentle, sweet, and loving, his sage and wise advice will be missed. Survived by adoring and loving parents, Gerry and Sandi Steiman; brother, Josh and wife, Jen; grandparents, Meyer and Doris Steiman; uncle and aunts, Ivan and Karen Brodsky, David and Sheila Steiman, Fred and Corrine Gumprich, Al and Shirley Chafetz, Gordon and Joyce Wexler; cousins, Adam and wife, Val, Lauren, Eden, Matt, Jennifer, Michelle, Cheryl, Paul, Joanne and husband, Mark, Rueben, Sophie, Shayne and wife, Donna, Martha, Randy and wife, Lisa, Lezley, Jason and wife, Zenaida, Brianna, Ryan; along with many other close relatives and friends. Funeral service 2 p.m. Sunday, June 15, 2008, at THE EPSTEIN MEMORIAL CHAPEL, 3232 East Main St., with Rabbi Harold Berman officiating. Burial to follow at the New Tifereth Israel Cemetery. Shiva will take place at the Steiman residence following the service until the morning of Friday, June 20, 2008.
