Martha LePera Obituary

LePERA Martha June LePera, 84, of Gahanna, died peacefully at home with God at her side on Sunday, September 17, 2006. Survived by her wonderful children, John "Jay", Edward (Kitty), William (Debora), Laura, Ellen (Marc Borst), Anne, and Joseph; her loving grandchildren, Natalie, Amy (Kevin Mauro), Daniel, Alicia, Rebecca, Jessica, Eileen, Christopher and Stephen; precious great-granddaughter and joy of the family, Talia Almira. Preceded in death by husband of 48 years Arthur J. LePera, parents Howard and Susan Wooten, siblings Ellen and Edward. June was born June 1, 1922 in Pax, WVa. Graduated Monongalia General School of Nursing in 1947 and worked as a registered nurse in Central Ohio hospitals, retiring from Dr. Burman's office in 1987. June enjoyed gardening, sewing, antiquing, reading and painting. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Friday, September 22 at St. Matthew Catholic Church, 807 Havens Corner Road in Gahanna. Burial will immediately follow the Mass at Mifflin Township Cemetery. Family will receive friends starting at 9:30 a.m. before the Memorial Mass at St. Matthews and after the burial at the family residence located at 496 E. Johnstown Rd. in Gahanna. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in June's name may be made to St. Matthew Church Building Fund, Mt. Carmel Hospice, or the Gahanna Lincoln High School Band Boosters. Arrangements by COOK & SON-PALLAY FUNERAL HOME.
