Martin Christian Bardill

BARDILL Martin Christian Bardill, age 84, of Whitehall, Ohio, passed away on Wednesday, January 2, 2013. Chris was born in Harriman, TN on July 14, 1928 to Martin Andrew and Mary Hester (nee Bradley). He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Leola Geswein Crook Bardill; sons, Mark Bardill and StephenBardill; step-children, Joy Crook Hansley, Charles Crook (Karen), and Janice Crook-Hill (Chris); brother, Hugh Bardill (Nadine); sister, Mary West (Charles); nine grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters Elva, Lorine, and Louella. Chris was retired from Roxane Laboratories after a long career as regional director. A graduate of the University of Tennessee, Chattanooga, he served as drum major in the USAF band. Chris was an active member of Zion Lutheran Church. An avid musician, Chris played trombone in the swing band, The Ramblers, and sang with the Columbus Swiss Singers. Friends may call on Saturday, January 5 from 11 a.m., with service to follow at 12Noon at Zion Lutheran Church. Private interment at Union Cemetery will occur at a later date.
