Martin was my best friend for a few years growing up in South Carolina. He was always super smart and looking to learn and grow as a person. He moved away when I was about 15 but I always missed his intelligent and bright persona.

Martin, you were the first little one we ever took to the zoo before becoming parents. I'll always remember how sweet and gentle a child you were. I think of you whenever my own son starts telling me of science:>.

Martin, we're friends, we always will be. You, like many of my friends, will always have a space in my heart. Never will I forget you. It saddens me to see you go like this. I remember in high school we ate lunch together, and had a class or two. I looked to you when I had difficulty figuring things out. I hope that you'll always watch out for us while you find peace in heaven. We all miss you. Forever and always you will always have a place in our hearts.

To whom it may concern,

Martin and I weren't exactly what you would call friends but we knew each other. He and I shared a Monday night class together this semester at Columbus State. He will be missed.

My condolences to his family and close friends.

I met Martin only once as my family and his were leaving a restaurant in Columbus. He was celebrating the end of training; we our pending retirement. I spied his uniform and then his Dad whom I worked with. Phil came over and introduced Martin; I game him a good handshake and an ex-Marine's "Semper Fi". Phil said Martin was being deployed; I wished him good luck. I remember fellow Marines from 68-72; I will remember Martin along with them. We are so sorry for your loss.

Martin, you are not just any other friends in high school. You were one of my few close friends. It hurt me so much when I came upon all of this. You are not just any ordinary person, you are brave, you are smart and most importantly, you are a good friend and you are a good person with an amazing personality. I know that god is excited, happy and has big plans for you in heaven. You will always be miss, and I will never forget you. Many prayers for Martin and the Ouellete Family.

Dear Karen & Family, I can't even begin to imagine the pain you feel as parents over the unexpected and tragic circumstances around the loss of your beloved son, Martin. Having lost our son a little over four years ago, I can understand to some degree the pain of your loss. I will hold you and your family up in prayer before the Lord who comforts our hearts through every affliction. I understand that it is only by His grace that we can endure under such heaviness and sorry.
Sincerely,
Bob and Mary Ann Wray

Martin, I'm glad we got to know each other for the time we had. you were one of my longest friendships and best friends. i remember our groups in 7th grade science in Mrs. Bett and 12th grade science with Mrs. Folley. i looked forward to seeing you when I got back from Augsburg, Germany. when I got back from Russia, you were there, like a true friend. maybe we weren't always able to spend a lot of time together. But the fact that we remained such good friends despite that, shows something. I remember our last day of School in 2012, in chemistry. as the bell rang, we stood up, hugged, and said "We did it, we finished High school.. we are soon to be Graduated seniors" even though I have lived in 3 nations in my life.. that moment with you remains to be one of my most happiest in my life. I will truly miss you more than any other lost friend in my life.

Martin, we knew each other since the 7th grade. we were always close friends. we might of not talked to each other a lot.. but the fact that we still stayed Great friends through all the years shows enough. on the last day of School in 2012 in Mrs. Folley's chemistry class, we stood up as the bell rang, hugged eachother, and said "we did it" eventhrough all of my exchanges in the world, i still consider this day to be one of my happiest and most memorable in my life. I'm happy we got to know each other for the time I was still in the Country.
