I did not hear of Mike's death for all these many months. He was a good friend, a wonderful artist and a priceless eccentric in a hundrum world. I wish I had reconnected in time to tell him he was, and still is, often in my thoughts.

Steph,
I hope you and Zach will take care of each other. Mike will be greatly missed by me and many others. Mike and his art was very influential to me and my art making and I loved him like a brother.
Love,

Dear Stephanie and Zach
I am so terribly sorry to read the news of Mike's passing. I remember the first time I met him in your 11th St apartment that was filled with your artwork and his. His smile is something I remember, too. And after the health problems started I remember admiring his strength and yours, especially when you two made the decision to return to Columbus for a new start. So brave! We all miss you in Brooklyn and hope you have plenty of support in Ohio. Much love and hope you can come visit soon.
