Nyall Sheldon Obituary

Sheldon, Nyall
1986 - 2018
Nyall Sheldon, 32, of Grandview Heights, passed away on March 24, 2018. He was born on January 23, 1986 to Ian and Sally (Rogers) Sheldon. In addition to his parents, Nyall is going to be deeply missed by his wife, Kathleen (Cannon) Sheldon; son, Dylan; and a new baby who is expected to arrive this summer. He is also survived by siblings, Luke (Marisa), Brice, and Rebecca; along with grandmother, Dylis Sheldon. His smile and fun loving personality will be greatly missed by his in-laws and many Aunts, Uncles, cousins, and other extended family members as well. Born in Exeter, England, Nyall and his family moved to the Columbus area in 1989 and settled in Worthington, Ohio. Nyall received his bachelor's degree from Devry University in 2008, and enjoyed a brotherhood during his college years through the Gamma Tau chapter of Lambda Chi Alpha at The Ohio State University. Nyall's lifelong love of technology and computers led him to a successful career in IT and network security that spanned nearly 10 years. Outside of technology, Nyall had a wide variety of hobbies and interests that included kayak fishing, sports car racing, cooking, traveling, and spending time outdoors. One of Nyall's biggest passions was sports. He was an avid fan of all Ohio-based sports teams, especially The Ohio State University Buckeyes and Columbus Blue Jackets. He enjoyed attending many games with family and friends over the years. Like a true Englishman, soccer was his first love. His pride for Manchester United ran deep, and the bond he shared with his family over Manchester United, as well as Brighton and Hove Albion FC will live on forever. Where Nyall excelled the most was as a father and family man. Although his time with his children was cut short, Nyall made the most of every day with his son as a hands-on, active, and loving father. He was elated to learn that he and his wife would be welcoming a new child into the world later in 2018, and was already making plans for family trips and activities. Nyall's legacy will be carried on through his children for years to come. The family will receive friends from 1-3 and 6-8pm on Friday, March 30, 2018 at the SCHOEDINGER WORTHINGTON CHAPEL, 6699 North High Street. Nyall's funeral service will be held there at 10am on Saturday, March 31, 2018. The family is proud to announce that Nyall passed on the gift of life through organ donation with LifeLine of Ohio. In lieu of flowers, the family would like to have donations made for Nyall's childrens' college fund via Kathleen Sheldon at P.O. Box 12474, Columbus, OH 43212.
