Paul Holbrook Obituary

HOLBROOK Paul R. Holbrook Jr. passed away shortly before his 61st birthday in January 2008. He is survived by his two children: son, Nicholas, Westerville, OH; and daughter, Andrea, Los Angeles, CA; and three sisters, Pam, Penny, and Priscilla. Prolific artist, Ohio U. graduate (MFA), writer, photographer, adventurer, Captain, Major, sailor, pilot, QB, decorated Vietnam War Veteran (Army 67-73), National Guard (73-89), he will be missed. Services were held in MD. A memorial celebration will be held to honor his memory, life and art, February 23, 630 p.m. at Gressos, 961 S. High St., Columbus, OH and February 24, 2008 4 p.m. at Thirsty Ear Tavern, 1200 W. 3rd Ave., Columbus, OH. Paul was a great highschool friend. I had the good fortune to renew our friendship by phone a few years ago. It was as if we had been working on another scheme just the day before. He was excited to be starting the sail and I take comfort that he was living another dream when he died.
