To Paul's family,
I am so very sorry for your loss. I had worked with Paul back in 1988-89 and still remember that smile. He was great to work with and always made us laugh. Such a great guy who will be deeply missed.

My deepest condolences to Paul's family, friends and co-workers. I worked with Paul several years ago at HAM and will always remember him as someone who took his job seriously, but knew how to keep things in prospective, a lot of times by cracking a joke or two to make the job more fun. I can remember me getting all worked up about an issue several times just to have him break the tension and get on resolving that issue. Of all the people I worked with in my 13 years there, he was definitely one of my favorite associates. Since the news of his passing I keep thinking about him and what a good person he was. HAM will not be the same without him.

My condolences to Paul's family. I worked with Paul over the last 28 yrs, and as everyone has said he was one of the most up beat guys you would ever meet, always a joker and always striving for Honda quality. I was lucky enough to play golf with Paul & Rich Gray this fall, those are the memories we all should keep of Paul, our best times because that's what he would want. Phoebe I'm sorry for your loss.

My heartfelt condolences go out to Paul's family. Paul was my best friend as a boy growing up in Harrisburg, Ohio many years ago. We spent many a great day shooting hoops, riding our mini-bikes, and camping in the woods just outside of town. I seem to remember we may have once hit a baseball through old Newt's garage window and then ran like crazy in fright (we paid him back later; after all, he had seen us playing baseball in his yard). Reading all the comments on here I can tell Paul never lost his ability to make people smile and happy that they knew him.
Rest in Peace my friend.

Like everyone here in this guest book... I was very sad to hear of Paul's sudden and unexpected death. Paul was one of the good guys. I think that it is safe to say, that EVERYONE who knew Paul LOVED Him here at HONDA. Great Guy. I swear, I just passed him in the hall way at ELP and I heartily congratulated him on his most recent promotion to Level 4. It was very deserving. He thanked me with a roar. And that was it. So many stories. So many memories. He was like Yogi Bera. People loved his humor and antics. I will miss him terribly... Shane V. Zaborszki

Paul was actually the first person I ever met at the Marysville Auto Plant. While visiting from the Honda Alabama factory for training, he actually snuck up to the person that was escorting me and gave the biggest bear hug from behind lifting feet off of the ground. I was expecting a argument, but learned this was Paul's way. From that point on I knew who Paul Holland was. He was always hard working, but never took things too serious to stop realize how important the moment and the people around him were. From then on I stayed in touch with Paul both professionally and personally. Mostly we would have good banter back forth regarding North vs South college football. He will be missed but not forgotten. My thoughts and prayers to his family.

So sorry to hear of Paul's passing. My condolences and prayers to Phoebe & his entire family, friends and Honda Associates. He was my first manager professionally in my career, I remember the meeting Paul over 20 years ago now, just like it was yesterday. He had such a great demeanor, attitude and passion in whatever it was he pursued: Family, Honda, Ohio State Buckeyes. May God's light shine upon him and may He bring you Peace & Joy knowing how many lives Paul influenced here on earth.
Many Blessings,

I first met Paul while I was an intern at Honda in Ohio. While I did learn quite a bit from Paul, the most important thing I have learned from Paul is to laugh in lieu of worry when things go wrong.
I am going to miss you Paul. The Holland family will is very much in my thoughts.

The last time I saw Paul was at my retirement party less than a year ago. As usual, people were drawn to Paul. His stories and antics were always entertaining. I observed that those listening to and laughing with Paul were the same ones with the same laughter that I first saw 25 years before. Everyone was having a great time.
When it came time to leave, Paul shook my hand and said "Thanks for bringing us all together". I wondered if he meant in the immediate sense, or in some deeper, more profound sense. In any sense, right back at you Paul. Thanks for bringing us all together.

Paul touched a lot of Honda associates over the years with his humor and dedication. He was a natural comedian - yet always sincere and genuine. I actually was thinking of him yesterday as I was washing the car (in the garage) when it was 2 deg outside. He always joked how clean I kept my car, even in the winter. One time - 20 years ago now - he claimed I blinded him with my white Civic on a winter afternoon driving down Sawmill Rd. The sun had come out just after a snow and the car was already clean. After the Bucks honor his memory by winning tonight - we're all going to have to step up our game and remember to be a little less serious each day.

My heart goes out to Paul's family during this difficult time. I knew Paul from the time he started at Honda. He was always a very upbeat person with a great sense of humor. I often joked with Paul that I thought he had to be related to Rodney Dangerfield or Kevin McHale. He will be dearly missed by many @ Honda.
