Peter Joseph Romano

ROMANO Peter Joseph Romano, 86, of Zephyrhills, FL passed away Monday, December 6, 2010. He was born August 5, 1924 in Lyndora, PA. He was a graduate of Butler High School, class of 1941, and a Management Engineering graduate of Pittsburgh Technical Institute, 1953. A WWII veteran of the Pacific theatre, he served in the U.S Navy. He retired from Armco Steel, Butler Works, in 1985 and relocated to Zephyrhills, FL. A man of diverse talents, he was self taught in farming, and music also avid in golf, bowling, dancing, woodcarving and a pro shuffleboard player. He is the son of Joseph Peter and Amelia Romano. He was pre-deceased by his sister Esther (Lauteria). He is survived by his beloved wife of 63 years, Jane Romano (Wood); sons, Joseph Peter (Sally) Worthington, Oh, Bruce (Kathy) Madison, Oh, Philip (Susan) Painesville, Oh, and Michael Romano Yorkville, IL; ten grandchildren, Peter and Lauren, Anne-Marie, Michael and Kristina, Nicholas and Dominic, Anthony, Matthew and Kelly.
