Funny this renewal of her legacy should come to my e mail today. Phyllis was my good friend for many years.I gained so much strength and spiritual renewal from our relationship. I was thinking of that last night when I went to a Gospel Sing and as I sat there I felt her spirit and realized she was enjoying it with me. If I needed any further verification, I received this email and I know she is watching over me. Miss You Much!

I hadn't know Phyllis very long. I was her Mary Kay consultant and last saw her in July. She was such a pleasure to be around and always so positive. She will truly be missed.

Phyllis was the world's best pet sitter. She told us she had a spiritual connection to our dog Elmo. My wife and I first met Phyllis 11 years ago before we left for our honeymoon. This was her first time pet sitting for our dogs and cats. She continued to be our pets best friend all these years. Phyllis was even with us when our dog Elmo passed away this summer (2009). We know she is going to a good place and Elmo will be happy to see his favorite pet sitter once again. We will truly miss her. She was a kind, gentle and wonderful person.

I truly didn't know Phil as most others did, but could tell how great of a person she was through the one time we met and by seeing how her family absolutely cherished her. Despite her battle with cancer, she was positive and uplifting, and was revered by many for her courage and spirit throughout. I wish I could have met her more than once, but I know she's still with us in spirit, smiling down on all of us from above.

Beautiful, honest, funny story teller was missed at our 50 year class reunion last month. She telephoned to tell the rest of us to have fun.
All of her classmates will miss her loveliness and laughing at future gatherings.

Phyllis, a woman of God who knew God's Word and loved the Lord. I know she is dancing with her mom, Marian Dempsey and other that she loved before the Lord. She was a good friend to Lou and I. Taking care of our home and offering us a home when we returned from Rhema Bible Training Center.
My fondest memory was riding with Phyllis to Gilbert, WV when her mom had unexpectedly gone to be with the Lord. She was crying and I wanted to drive, but she said, I would never make the hair pin turns. Soooo, I prayed! We got there safely and I had some awesome memories of just sitting with her as she tried to sleep or rest reading God's Word to her.
To all of her family and friends, SHE LOVED YOU AND APPRECIATED YOU ALL DEARLY! TO PHYLLIS ... DANCE AND PRAISE THE LORD MY FRIEND!

I have so many wonderful memories of Phyllis and I will cherish them all. She was a fantastic "evil step mother" to me and a WONDERFUL grandmother to Steven, Nathan and Jon. She was there at their births, she went to ball games, graduations and birthdays. She DID things with them - took them creeking, pumpkin picking, rock climbing, played hide and seek, dressed them up, and made annual bunny cakes with Steven - I think 19 of them. She made our lives brighter & I hope I can be as good a grandmother as she was.
She was easy to talk to, always had a story and a smile. One of our last conversations - when she went to the hospital this last time, I called and asked how are you? She said, "I'm sick!" I thought oh no...then she said "The Buckeyes are losing to Perdue!"
In the last two years, she never complained about how she was feeling or what she was enduring. She shared her faith and her love...and I miss her terribly.
Love you ESM,

Where do you begin to tell what a wonderful person Phyllis was. I met her many years ago and I'll never forget the wonderful times when she would come to our band events and join us for all the fun. Of course, she was having a blast with us. She always made you feel special. After growing up, I had the continued privilege to see her when she came to Gilbert for a visit. She was always an inspiration to me and you knew that she loved you for who you were. I know that she has attained what she longed for (heaven) and that she will be missed but never forgotten. Thanks to the family for sharing Aunt Phil with me!

My favorite memories about Aunt Phil were playing cards. It didn't matter what card game. She told me I would end up in Vegas as a card dealer. The last card game we played was Uno back in the Summer. We also went to the Columbus Zoo this Summer. Now every time I see and baby elephant, I'll think of Aunt Phil.
When I was younger, she used to come visit and tell me stories about her and Boo's (her brother, William Owens) childhood. I'm going to miss those stories.
I know she's gone from Earth, but my family and I have a new Guardian Angel watching over us. I know she's in heaven with Granny (her mother, Emma) smiling down and waiting for us to meet again.
Aunt Phil, thanks for being such a big part of my life. I'm glad you're not suffering anymore. I know you'll still be and my wedding (whenever it may be). I miss you so much. I love you!!!

My Father, Rev. J.C. Bragg, Jr., was Phyllis' Pastor during her childhood and formative years in West Virginia. She grew up next door to us, and was like a "big sister" to me. My Mom was her Mother's best friend, and our hearts are heavy with her departure. However, we eagerly anticipate meeting her again in our new home.

Phyllis Walker was my dear friend for at least 25 years. Neither of us could ever remember the exact date. She was a loyal confidant and a great role model. I have been in awe over the way she has handled this terrible illness but not surprised. Her faith was an inspiration to us all. She showed such great strength and told me often she had put her pain and suffering in God's hands and he would see her through and he did with, of course, no surprise to either of us. I am going to miss her greatly

I was only around Phyllis for one week. She was an inspiration to me. She loved the Lord and knew where she was headed. What a testimony she has left. I met her thru her friends, Jimmy and Nancy Tiller. She came to our home and our church for one week. I have thought and prayed for her many times. She will be missed. Paul and Sue Rings

Graham Cracker (Grandma), my cousin Glenn, my brothers Steven, Jon and I used to go to the pumpkin patch every year. It was something we a looked forward to because Graham Cracker was the coolest. She took us on hay rides, took us through the hay maze, bought us apple cider, and my favorite picking pumpkins. I always picked a pumpkin too heavey for me to carry, even though Graham Cracker warned me. She always made me carry what I picked so I usually just gave up on the big pumpkin and grabbed a smaller one. Thoughs are some of the fondest memories of my childhood. This year i didn't get to go to the pumpkin patch, but my girlfriend Catalina and I had the privillage to paint pumpkins with Grandma just three weeks ago. We had a blast, and I feel lucky that I was able to spend such quality time with such an uplifting and inspiring person such as Grandma Phyllis. She was there for just about every major event in my life, and could never imagine how much that means to me. She left her mark on me, and I will never forget all that she has done for me. I miss you Grandma.
