1925 - 2021
Ralph Paul DeMatteo, age 95, passed away on Sunday, March 7, 2021. Ralph served in the U.S. Army during WWII; was a retired farmer and devoted member of St. Margaret of Cortona Catholic Church. Preceded in death by parents Carmine and Eugenia (Pignatella) DeMatteo and eight brothers. Survived by his wife, Chriestena (Agriesti) DeMatteo, with whom he had been with for nearly 72 years; children, Paul, Perry (Vicki), Dean (Alisa) and Gina (John) Donnelly; nine grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Funeral Mass 11am Thursday, March 11, 2021 at St. Margaret of Cortona Catholic Church, 1600 N. Hague Avenue, Columbus (43204), with entombment to follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Lockbourne. There is no visitation. In lieu of flowers, friends who wish may contribute in memory of Ralph to either St. Margaret of Cortona Parish or Mt. Carmel Hospice, 1144 Dublin Rd., Columbus (43215). Condolences may be sent via www.johnquint.com. Masks/facial coverings are required for the funeral Mass.

My sincerest condolences to Chris and her family.
I really didn't know Ralph all that well but I do know he was a good person, fellow vet and one hell of a euchre player. Always sharp.
We will miss Ralph at our 50+ club.
