We didn't get the opportunity to get to know Ralph, and I regret that. From the things we read and heard about him, he was an incredible man who touched so many people during his life. When we first met him, I was struck by how easy he was to get comfortable with. It's often difficult for me to relax with those I don't know well, but Ralph made that easy. He was one of those people that you feel like you've known forever right after you are introduced. While these things say a lot about what Ralph was like, there is one thing I am thankful for above all else. Ralph raised the amazing young man that became our son-in-law, instilling in him the convictions and strengths that made him the man he is today. I give thanks every day for that precious gift.

I had several cases with ralph, I was very sad to see his passing, we always had good battles, but he was always professional, reasonable, and I think a very good person. I was very sad to hear of his passing, so sorry for the loss to his family.

As a fellow attorney, I worked with Ralph on a number of cases over the years. Even the difficult ones, when I saw Ralph was on the other side, I sighed relief. He was an intelligent and compassionate attorney, and he gave most of us one of the greatest gives - a moment of laughter to cut through what was usually a difficult task for all of us. I will miss you, my friend.

Our family is so sorry for the loss of your father, brother, uncle and great uncle. He was a good man who fought hard for our cause. His passion and commitment will never be forgotten. May he rest in peace. He will never be forgotten for his kind words, his encouragement, and support. There are no words that can comfort the family during the time of an unexpected passing. We are so grateful that we got to thank him for all he did. Sleep well Mr. Kerns.
