To My Cousins and their families....
August 7, 2012
Dear Hermie, Dennie, Marilyn, Ronnie and to each of your love ones.
Condolences and Faith shall speak... from Eddie.
Certainly I grieve the passing of Raymie. We are together! Its is all ok...
Ray prompts wonderful reflection. Ray grew life with honor...God, Country and Service.
Ray is great example to me and many. His character is clear and lived. He boldly represents the great legacy from our earlier generation, our Fathers.
Ray was not one to sit idle for too long. We have many wonderful memories that will never fade. Reflection with grace and thankful hearts for the many years we shared with a wonderful man. God bless you all! We each are blessed with Ray in our lives. He will live on.
My life with Raymond, namesake of Uncle Ray and my Father, shaped me and grew me in many ways. We watched, often with awe, slaughter, "ringing" of bulls, and majesty of a new day sun rise over Uncle Ray's and Dan's and Aunt Lotties home. And later to experience the sunset after a "day well done". Much of my life was instilled earnestly at the Farm...the opportunities and many life skills from the farm chores. The joy of radio and special treats at Blues? ice cream. Gaining the trust to drive the Big tractor, pick ups and even autos. Those were the growing days of my life in so many ways. And above and foremost was recognizing God and how He built into our lives.
Ray remains in the joy of memory with our cousin Gary. Yes we three represented a great mix of cousin-hood...
All to be embellished by Ronald, our beautiful sisters then the wonderful extension of joyful life of Dennie and Hermie.
You all have carried forward the wonderful legacy of your parents and the outstanding Aunts and Uncles we each have within our lives. I know deeply and lastingly the life from our family heritage. I am thankful for Ray and our family at large.
We have been planted in rich soil and much more to become. Thankfully we have the spiritual embodiment that will go on to perfect our lives. Ray lives on....and we rejoice.
How, seeds became harvest for profit; be it fodder for milk and meat, it was all good and wholesome. The farm milk in quart jars and so much more. Yes and awesome creator we have...
I trust we find strength in each other, Christ and comfort with our many memories. I am so thankful for the legacy Ray leaves and know this is our life.
I write this letter with a heavy heart. I want you to know how thankful I am to know each of you and Ray. Raymond was an honest man who worked hard and did a very good and important job while performing work at the National Cash Register...a work opportunity afforded Ray via his charisma and handsome personhood.
Often our common friends would connect Ray and Eddie through our uncommon name as he performed his long career at NCR. He treated people with respect and he was well respected. You each are blessed by Ray and so am I. He truly was a special person.
My thoughts and prayers are with you as is Ann. Kay will represent my presence with love and nourishment as we go through this life event together.
Thank you for your leadership within the family. My purpose will be to bring encouragement and loving support during our suffering the loss of Ray. I am on standby and ready to serve.
Love to you all....Joyce, Alan and Lori, Jackie, Randy and Lisa, Deborah, Kristin, Mary and Tammy. I so remember our "cousin reunion" and remain thankful.
May God Bless You and those you love.
Eddie
