The times we had at high school playing baseball together with one of the best pitchers in Ohio. Only I could have had a cousin so talented. You taught me a lot. I will miss our phone calls every month.

Today was the day that I never imagined. It is so hard to say goodbye to a friend you've known so long. We first met that cold winter night back in December 1978 at your Chaparral Club (which I grew up hearing about on the radio with all the hottest groups performing their) I came in and we brought the glory back through disco.. Even though I was better known on the East Side and North End and Urbancrest as a fine DJ. It was you that put me on the map On the Hilltop.

We have traveled a long way together. I'll always remember you as a father figure and a friend, and you always being there from when we first met when I was a very, very young man till this day.

"Sparky" (my nickname for you just like the old baseball manager of the Reds) Also because you probably could have played in the major league with your talent. If they did not have a color line at that time. Always there when needed. Many "good-times" along with many "great memories". Speaking to each other several times a week on the phone almost up to the last day.

I'll never forget you. And will always remember hear your voice saying the name "Bomb" your nickname for me that you affectionately would call me. One thing that you did know. I truly loved you and told you so for all these many years. Thank you for allowing me the honor of meeting, working together and really knowing you, and you and I becoming very true friends . Also you were a great teacher to me. Love, Junebug "The Bomb"

To the Vinson family. There is know loss in knowing a great man. While it might be-hard to understand life and death. Understand the legacy of a great father, brother, uncle, and person. Understand the hands that will hold him and love him are greater than our own now. Let go with pride, respect, and love. Be at peace. My prayer for all, Amen....
