To the Fields Family: it is with a sad heart that I learned the passing of Mr. Fields this morning. While this news was quite a shock, I want this family to know I am praying for the family ( and all of us in the American Addtion who knew and loved Mr. Fields. Mr. Fields was like a community uncle to me! He was always a joy to be around and I loved talking with him on the phone as he got me caught up on how he was doing and what he had been up to lately. Mr. Fields was my "bowl of popcorn" conversationalist when I would call to speak with him. Every since I have known Mr. Fields he was a wonderfully kind and gentle person who worked hard and loved his family to the max. Rest on Mr. Fields.... My Bible tells me to be absent in the body is to be present with the Lord. You have certainly earned your crown of rightness. Thank you for being a friend to my family (The McCoy's) and me through out the years.

Humbly submitted:

I have known Robert for over 55 years, and he definitely had a gift of gab. He was never lost for words. He will truly be missed. The entire Fields Family will remain in my thoughts and prayers not only through these difficult hours, but also in the days and weeks to come.
