Robert James Jones III, 80, of Columbus, died Wednesday, February 28, 2018. Robert was born September 23, 1937 to the late Robert and Rosetta (Buchannon) Jones. Robert proudly served in the U. S. Navy. Bob was an avid supporter of the Columbus local rock and roll scene. Married to Mary (Spear) for 59 years. Robert will be deeply missed by his wife; children, Bobby, JJ, Susie; granddaughter, Amber Sirois. Visitation will be Tuesday, March 6, 2018 from 5-8pm at Newcomer Funeral Home NE, 3047 E. Dublin Granville Rd., Columbus. Funeral services will be Wednesday, March 7, 2018 at 10am at St. Matthias Church, 1582 Ferris Rd., Columbus with Father Raymond Larussa officiating. In lieu of flowers, send memorial contributions to your local humane society. To share a condolence with the family, please visit www.NewcomerColumbus.com.
