Bob & I were best friends for years and stayed in contact for most of 1962 - 2003: at the Upper Arlington swimming pools, at the Varsity Club, at Ohio State football games, and in Saigon, Vietnam when I could travel there from my Central Highlands Army unit to see him. Even after I moved to California, we visited frequently in person (in Ohio & California) and by phone. After I moved to Florida in 2003, we lost contact. The last couple of days, I felt a compulsion to track him down and came up empty until I found this obituary. I am shocked and saddened to find that I lost such a good friend and didn't know it. While I know I will not see Bob again this side of heaven, I am encouraged by knowing we will share friendship and laughter sometime in the future, all in God's perfect timing. My sympathy to his family, friends and loved ones. I am honored to have known Bob and called him my friend. - Jerry Smith

Bob Scholl was a treasured member of our faculty here at Columbus State Community College. He was dedicated to helping his students to succeed and spent countless hours over and above class time to help achieve that goal. Bob was a kind and gentle soul who was always willing to help and will be missed very much by the staff and students at our college, especially by those of us in Dublin. . It was a honor to know such a humble and gentle human being.

The Accounting Department used to be right across from my office, and I would see Bob while teaching at night. He was a very gentle man and always had something kind or friendly to say. My heartfelt condolences to his family and friends.

I first met Bob at ODOT in 1974 and have known him over the years. He had a great sense of humor and reacquainted with him at Holy Cross Church a few years back. He will be missed by many who knew him.

All the way back in High School Bob was a gentle, modest man. He was kind as well. He was the kind of guy that you could admire for not needing to be the "star of the show" but still being liked and respected by everyone. Bye Bob. Bless you. See you later. Jerry Roback

Dear Bob, you will be missed in the Graystone Manor Condo neighborhood. You infectious laughter and dry sense of humor. Thank you for all the hours you served on the Board, making our Community a better place.
Mary Ann, my heart goes out to you, and to both of your families.
At least Bob, will get to see Woody at the football games.
