Ronald Duane Vaughn

VAUGHN Ronald Duane "Spook" Vaughn, 79, of Somerset, Ohio, went to be with his Lord with his family by his side on Sunday, June 6, 2010. Duane was born August 20, 1930 in Lockbourne, Ohio, to the late Joseph and Blanche (Miller) Vaughn. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He was retired from Columbus Auto Parts. Duane was a life member of the V.F.W. and the American Legion. He was also a member of Hopewell United Methodist Church where he met many well loved friends. He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, LaMartha (Marty) Vaughn; his children, Joseph (Mary), Duane (Teresa), Ben (Deborah), Pat (Esther), Walter (Sheri), Chuck (Cheryl) and Richard (Deonna) Vaughn and Agatha (Charles) Husch; 22 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and many step- grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson Aaron Shields and a brother Evan Vaughn. Friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, June 9, 2010 at the Hopewell United Methodist Church and from 10-12 a.m. Thursday, June 10, 2010 at the Lockbourne United Methodist Church, 1260 Vause Rd., Lockbourne, Ohio where service will be held at 12Noon Thursday with the Rev. John Edwards officiating. Burial will follow in Fernwood Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Hopewell United Methodist Church or to the Lockbourne United Methodist Church.
