I met my Father-In-Law on Thanksgiving 1990. That evening he picked me up and sat me in a large trash can full of ice & water!!! And so began a relationship of teasing, bantering, and LOVE! One more memory...Years ago when I was a young bride, Mom & Dad came to our house for dinner, & we had a lovely visit. As I was cleaning up after everyone left, I picked up the glass he was drinking from and saw something else inside.... it was DIRTY! Not from the evening beverage, no, I served him a DIRTY cup!! But Dad never said a thing! Just ate the dinner I prepared graciously, and kept that disgusting detail to himself! I will always smile and chuckle when I remember this and many more memories! Mom, I love you so! And Dad, can't wait to see you again.... I'll bring a clean cup! :0)
